Ethel Rebecca Benjamin strived to her very best and beyond that. She succeeded in her studies and she accomplished her goals to have a degree. She was determined to succeed. She didnot believe that females cannot achieve whom the wish to be. Ethel was a huge impaact and she opened up the opportunity for female to achieve more. She demonstrated this by striving to her very best and beyond. Ethel said:  "delegate such a basic function while complying with its basic obligation to protect the rights of its citizens. Is the delegation of a fragment of sovereignty consistent with the state’s continued sovereignty?” Questions like this made Ethel a very succes throughout the years of her being a lawyer. She showed the male lawyers how women really are and that females can actually be intellegent. She was eger to make changes throughout NZ. She delegated many good ideas such as: “creative solutions may be needed sooner rather than later in New Zealand”, “Investment treaties originated as instruments to protect investors.”  She made a statement declaring that female can do the same ammount of work th males can do and that females shouldnt be treated as 'housewifes' anymore.
